The objective of the bilateral project is to interrogate historical and cultural dimensions of work in different phases of socialist Yugoslavia and also the changes in understanding, organisation and work regimes in the two post-socialist countries, Croatia and Slovenia. The research is primarily focused on the “labour quotidian” of individuals, families and collectivities. Certain amount of research will also focus on the cultures of leisure.
Likewise, the research focuses on the transition “from industrial manufacture to digital technologies.” This transition, accompanied with the globalisation and fragmentation of production process not only influenced the ways people understand their work, but also their emotions, affects and longings.
